Government’s Role in Further Developing 5G Technologies and Future Networks

Very similar to 5G, several critical technological innovation developments have been supported by government funding and institutions for many years. Federally Funded Analysis and Advancement Centers (FFRDC) and College Affiliated Research Facilities (UARC) have been foundational components of this govt assistance.
This webinar will analyze the effects this research has had on national stability and the total financial system. It will also focus on how these institutions have created use of testing to attain these safety and financial ambitions. Last but not least, it will look at how these means can carry on to be leveraged in the even further advancement of 5G systems and past for long term networks.

Murat Torlak gained the M.S. and Ph.D. levels in electrical engineering from The College of Texas at Austin, in 1995 and 1999, respectively. Considering that August 1999, he has been with the Department of Electrical and Pc Engineering, The College of Texas at Dallas, in which he has been promoted to the rank of a Full Professor. He is on leave from UT Dallas to serve as a Rotating Method Director at the U.S. Countrywide Science Basis (NSF) considering the fact that mid 2020. His present research passions consist of experimental verification of wi-fi networking devices, cognitive radios, millimeter-wave automotive radars, millimeter-wave imaging methods, and interference mitigation in radio telescopes. He has served as an Affiliate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, from 2008 to 2013. He was a Guest co-Editor of IEEE JSTSP Particular Issue on Latest Advances in Automotive Radar Signal Processing, 2021. He has also served in several IEEE committees and assisted to arranged IEEE conferences.
